Rajagopuram Temple – FRP Phase 1 & 2 Installation

We’re happy to share a new update on the ongoing work at the West Gopuram—a project that continues to unfold with devotion, craftsmanship, and collaboration.

The estimated cost of this phase is around 6M USD for the foundation, shell structure and granite work.

On July 9th, the temple was graced with a visit from the FRP manufacturers who will be fabricating and installing the decorative exterior building elements. During their visit, they met with Aiya and the Construction Team to review details and finalize installation plans. This in-person collaboration ensured all parties are aligned as we approach the Phase 1 & 2 FRP installation stages of this monumental project.

Stucco Work Progress:

The stucco texture and color are currently being finalized. Once selected, stucco installation will begin taking 4 to 6 weeks to complete. This layer will serve as both a protective and aesthetic foundation for the FRP elements to come.

FRP Shipments and Final Installation:

The final three containers of FRP material are en route and expected to arrive at the temple within the next month.

Once the FRP has arrived and stucco work is complete, the specialized FRP installation team will begin the next major phase.

This includes:

  • Completing the entire west side, and
  • Installing the Kalagraham of the West Gopuram.

This work is scheduled to begin within the next 3 weeks and will continue through November.
