Please Join Us for the 2017 Navaratri Brahmotsavam and Sahasra Chandi!

Navaratri is quickly approaching! We welcome one and all to join us as we seek the most loving motherly blessings of Sri Rajarajeswari Amman. This year, the Navaratri Brahmotsavam will be celebrated from Sep 20 – 30, 2017. Please see the 2017 Navaratri Flyer for more information and see below for more details about the daily schedule.

Sahasra Chandi Maha Yajnam

This year, the Temple is conducting the most powerful Sahasra Chandi Maha Yajnam throughout the Navaratri Brahmotsavam. Sri Chandi Homam is one of the most powerful homas that can be performed for peace, happiness and the destruction of all difficulties. When a “Sahasra Chandi” is performed during the incredibly auspicious Saran Navaratri, the spiritual power is multiplied countless millions of times.

Each parayanam of Devi Mahatmyam takes 2-3 hours to complete, and in a Sahasra Chandi, parayanam must be done at least 1000 times by up to 100 ritwiks. Chandi Homam must also be completed a minimum of 100 times. Due to the strenuousness of achieving such a noble goal, the Sahasra Chandi Maha Yajnam has only been held a handful of times in North America, and this may be only the second time it has been performed in the US.

Sponsorships will be available for those who wish to support this rare auspicious event and receive blessed prasadam, but simply to attend and hear the holy vibrations of Devi Mahatmyam is a divine blessing beyond comprehension. Please do not miss this rare opportunity that Divine Mother is extending to one and all! We never know when this opportunity may come again, and we invite you to come and enjoy the chance to absorb the powerful vibrations of Devi Mahatmyam in the most auspicious Saran Navaratri time.

For devotees of Sri Devi, Saran Navaratri is the most important time in the entire year for performing seva, pujas and homas, and seeking Her divine grace for inner peace, prosperity and abundance, and spiritual bliss. During this time, Sri Mata’s infinite love pours onto the entire Earth, showering all beings with the nectar of compassion. By performing or witnessing pujas and homas during this time, we can attract that divine nectar into our hearts and fill our lives with grace and the blessings of divine protection.

During the auspicious Saran Navaratri, may Divine Mother Rajarajeswari’s most loving grace shower down upon all beings, and may all be drenched in the nectar of Her motherly love.
