Liveblog of Navarathri 2013 ~ Day 7

The festivities will begin at 8am

take a look at yesterday’s blog to see what you missed

In every Sri Yantra, the Devi in the middle is always represented by a dot, circle, or small sphere. This point is called the bindu, and it is there to represent how everything, no matter how big, always has a source that it originated from.

Everything begins from a single point, and that concept is one thing that the bindu in the centre of the Sri Yantra represents.

The bindu is the very centre point of the Sri Yantra, which has nine levels, and each level represents a realm that’s larger and way beyond the one we live in right now. On the Sri Meru, you can see how each of those nine levels is smaller and higher than the one beneath it. The Devi is in the smallest and highest point.
