Rajagopuram Temple – Mahamandapa Shankhasthapana Puja

Sri Gurubhyo Namaha!

Sri Matre Namaha!

September 13, 2026, will forever hold a special place in the history of Sri Vidya Temple. On this auspicious day, our community came together for the Mahamandapa Shankhasthapana Puja, celebrating an important step forward in the journey of our new temple.

The day was filled with sacred prayers, pujas, devotion, and an overwhelming spirit of community. A deeply meaningful moment came when Aiya and Amma placed the first Shankham on behalf of our Guru lineage, followed by the placement of 1,008 Valampuri Shankhams within the foundation of the future Mahamandapa.

Each Shankham carried with it the prayers and blessings of our community. Together, these sacred offerings now form a part of the foundation upon which the Mahamandapa will rise, becoming a lasting part of our temple’s history and spiritual legacy.

A Day Made Possible by Our Community

What made this occasion truly special was the incredible participation of our devotees and volunteers.

More than 1,300 devotees joined us in person, while many others participated from different parts of the world. Throughout the day, countless volunteers worked together behind the scenes and on the grounds — preparing for the ceremony, welcoming devotees, coordinating logistics, supporting the pujas, carrying the Shankhams, assisting with the event, and helping wherever they were needed.

The Mahamandapa Shankhasthapana Puja was a beautiful example of seva in action. Every helping hand, every offering, every sponsorship, and every hour spent in service contributed to making this milestone possible.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the RGP Professional Construction Team, Operational Team, volunteers, sponsors, families, organizers, and devotees whose dedication and generosity brought this special day together.

A Sacred Foundation for the Future

The 1,008 Valampuri Shankhams now rest within the foundation of the Mahamandapa. One day, as the Mahamandapa stands completed, these sacred offerings will remain quietly beneath it — connecting future generations to this special moment in our temple’s journey.

The Mahamandapa is being built with more than stone and structure. Its foundation carries the prayers, devotion, generosity, and collective effort of an entire community.

September 13, 2026, was not simply a milestone in the construction of our temple. It was a moment when our community came together with one heart, one vision, and a shared commitment to building something that will serve generations to come.

With deepest gratitude to everyone who was part of this sacred occasion.

Together, we are building a temple.
Together, we are building a legacy.

With heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made the Mahamandapa Shankhasthapana Puja a day we will cherish and remember for years to come.

Take a glimpse at the beautiful moments captured during this memorable day.
