For those who are interested in sponsoring this auspicious event, Modaka Sponsorships are available at $1 per Modaka and are available in the amounts of $21, $51, $101, $501, $1,001, $5,001 and $10,001.
All proceeds from this homa will go towards the new Temple construction.
Participation Opportunities
Participate as a Ritwik
As part of offering the 100,000 modakas, we will be chanting the Sri Vidya Ganapati Mantra many hundreds of times.
If you have received Ganapati mantra diksha in any Sri Vidya lineage is welcome and invited to sign up as a ritwik to help us achieve the 100,000 mantra recitations and homa offerings. Our kind request is that all ritwiks chant the Ganapati Mantra as specified in the recording and materials that will be provided.
Help Prepare Modakams
We are also pleased to announce that we have received enough pledges for making all 100,000 modakas. Therefore, it is not necessary to make any more modakas at this point. Any modakas donated without a prior form submission will not be accepted. Thank you for your support and understanding.
The instructions and guidelines for prior committed modakas are detailed below.
Guidelines:
- Mantra diksha is required to participate
- Household where the preparation is taking place must be vegetarian.
Instructions for preparing Modakams at home:
- All Modakams should be fried and uniform in size – small marble size.
- Modakams should be fully cooled before packing to avoid any moisture.
- Deliver to the temple in-person or via shipment by Friday August 26th, 2022.
- Suggested recipe for the modakam is below. Other recipes can also be used.

Accommodation at the temple is very limited and will be provided to active temple volunteers on a first come, first serve basis. If you are interested, please read the SVTS Overnight Stay Policy and fill out the SVTS Overnight Stay Request Form.
