Rajagopuram Temple – Construction Update
Beginning tomorrow, Thursday, October 30th, and continuing Friday, the Mahamandapam area will be backfilled with the soil that was excavated during the Phase 3 foundation work.
Approximately 1,070 cubic yards of fill will be placed. This backfill will raise the level up to about 4½ feet below the finished floor of the Mahamandapam — reconnecting the Mahamandapam and Devi sannidhi directly with the ground, restoring the link through the soil to Mother Earth (Bhoomi Devi).
This sacred connection prepares the space for the Grand Mahamandapam Puja, during which Shankams will be installed before the remaining portion is filled and the floor is poured to seal the Mahamandapam.
With Divine Grace, we hope to hold this special Mahamandapam Puja in the summer of 2026.
Please stay tuned for updates and opportunities to participate in this sacred milestone of our Rajagopuram Project journey.
