Special Puja and Abhisekam will be performed to lord Subramaniya at Sri Rajarajeswari Peetam. Skandasashti commemorates the destruction of evil (Sooran) by the Supreme General Kartikeya (son of Shiva). It is celebrated with the dramatic enactment of Soora Samhaaram on the sixth day (November 3rd).
