The Shivarathri festival is elaborately celebrated at the temple throughout the night with special Homams, Abhishekhams and Bhajans. Pujas commence at 7:00 pm and continue till 7:00 am next morning with breaks in-between. This is a unique opportunity for devotees to participate in the various events throughout the night and obtain lord Shiva’s blessing.

| The main highlights of the night are: |
- This year Maha Shivarathri festival will begin with Prathosha Kala puja at 6:00 pm.
- Kalasa stapanam with 11 Rudrams. In between each Rudram, there will be Shiva Sahasranamam Archana and during that time, devotees will have chance to Offer real “Vilva” leaves to all lingams (11 stations) in the temple.
- Abhishekham to all Shiva Lingams.
- 108 Valampuri Sanku (Right Handed Conch) Stapanam & Abhishekham. Opportunities are available for devotees to sponsor individual Sankus for a nominal fee ($11 US/each).
- Ganapathi, Navagrahas, and Rudra Homams.
- If time permits, there will be Bhajans praising Shiva.
