Home >Wandering Horses Visit Temple Friday October 5, 2007
The Friday afternoon during noon time puja, the day after the Dwaja Arohanam, a group of wandering horses visited the temple.  Recently Ashvarudha, who is in charge of Devi's horses, had been installed at one of the trees on the temple property so the temple felt especially blessed by their visit.  One of the horses entered the yagna shala and circumambulated the homa kundam and ate some apples.  Because the temple used to be a barn with horses, we knew they felt at home.  There were six horses, 2 white, 2 black and 2 brown.  They stayed for about 45 minutes, visited Ashvarudha's tree and then left.  They were not accompanied by any people and came and left on their own.  In the 9 years since the temple was installed in 1998, this is the first time that wandering horses have visited the temple.
